Beating the Bounds On Saturday 10 November 2007 Scouts and Explorers from accross Avon Scouts walked the county boundary. Northwinds ESU joined up with the 209th Scout Troop to cover a section, south of Wotton-under-Edge, between Worcester Lodge and Oxleaze Farm. Message from Basil (Assistant County Commissioner for Explorers): Well we did it, the boundary was covered between 7am and 4pm on Saturday.
A big thankyou to everybody who took part, be it walking, organising or supporting.
Plus a thankyou to Mike Banfield who initially worked out the route.
I managed to see teams from Cotswold edge, Brunel, Kingswood, Bath, Wansdyke and Bristol South and witnessed walkers from all sections.
Appologies to Gordano and Cabot, I simply ran out of time!
